Our First Taste

We took some time this past week to travel down to Chattanooga and connect with the Silver Team at their third Thirst Conference. There’s so much we could tell, but a few highlights definitely  stand out for us.

First, we loved getting to spend time with our team! We already feel like we are a part of the Silver Team, even though we are apart from them. Everyone was so welcoming and accepting, both of me and Amanda, and of the kids. It’s not exaggerating to say that we are a part of the family! This trip continued to solidify our call to serve with the Silver Team and increased our desire to get on the road soon!

Second, it was humbling to be welcomed into Lookout Valley Baptist Church. The leadership at LVBC had led the congregation in preparing for the Thirst Conference through solemn assembly, prayer, and confession. They were eager to see God move their church onto “More”, as Pastor Troy said. It was special for us to be able to come in and just ride the wave of what God is doing in this congregation.

Finally, we were refreshed by reconnecting with Shane and Leigh and their family. We got to talk about what life on the road looks like, watch them interact with the church and the team, and hear them speak in various capacities. The difficult part is knowing that they are being stretched as they lead the team without us. From their perspective, we can’t get on the road soon enough!

To that end, would you please continue to pray for us? If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to begin your monthly support or give a one-time donation. The sooner we are fully supported, the sooner we can join the Silver Team in the field!
